Day 1 : Ljubljana

Arrival at Ljubljana Airport and first contact with Slovenia. Collection of your vehicle inside the airport. Drive from the airport to the city of Ljubljana. Check-in at the hotel. Rental of intermediary I-Class MPV, type Skoda Octavia , including:

Panoramic tour along the water on a wooden boat, the only one in Ljubljana. You’ll get a different view of the Slovenian capital and enjoy its gentle way of life even more with this gentle and surprisingly quiet mode of travel. The departure is on the banks of the river, a 2-minute walk from Preseren Square, recognizable by its imposing church with its pink facade. You will pass under many bridges spanning the river to wilder parts of the city, moving away from the centre. Be careful, you may be lucky enough to see otters. Then you will turn around to admire the imposing construction of the covered market halls along the Ljubljanica river to the famous Dragon Bridge, back to the starting point. Day 2 : Ljubljana

Meeting with your guide for a 3-hours private tour around the Slovenian capital at your own pace.

Stroll through the charming Old Town and the oldest parts of the city, where the history of Ljubljana began, beneath the perched castle. We meet at Preseren Square, towards the City Hall where we start our journey south along Old Town Road, to Old Square (Stari Trg) and Gornji Trg where some of Ljubljana’s most beautiful medieval houses are located. From there we start our 10 minute ascent to the castle where we visit the inner courtyard and several other points of interest. The visit is both entertaining and rich in medieval history, anecdotes, local tales and legends.

Day 7 : Plitvice Lakes NP

Exceptional day’s walk in the heart of the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Road to reach the park’s surroundings. You have several choices of visit and we recommend a full exploration. Departure by panoramic train to reach the upper end of the park. The visit begins with a ride along the Upper Lakes, the wildest part of the park, where the lakes merge, the platforms on which you walk pass over bodies of water and waterfalls. The water flows from all sides, it’s magical. Electric boat crossing on Lake Kozjak. Let’s go for a walk on the lower part of the park, through the gorges of the Lower Lakes, which will take you to the Great Waterfall. Continue to the top of the gorge with a panoramic view. Return on foot or by train. This circular program allows you to enjoy the beauty of the lake area of the park as a whole.

Road to Slovenia and the Karst region, via Opatija. You drive along the Adriatic coast this morning and the Kvarner golf course before reaching Opatija, a prestigious seaside resort. Day 14 : Postojna

Stop on the road for a tour of the Postojna Cave. Until 1818, visitors could only see 300 metres of the Cave. Today, you can admire more than 5 kilometres of spectacular tunnels, passages and halls. One always wonders about the interest of visiting a cave on vacation, isn’t it? Don’t think about it, this cave is full of surprises, even if the place is quite touristy. After picking up the audio guide, the cave train will take you to discover an unimaginable underground world. Audio guides available in French. The unusual Predjama Castle: 9 km from the Postojna Cave, the castle, hanging high on a cliff, reigns over the surroundings. The most famous inhabitant of the castle was undoubtedly the knight Erasmus of Predjama, who rebelled against the emperor’s obstinacy in the 15th century. Erasmus of Predjama is the subject of many legends, some magnify him by describing him as a passionate, handsome and noble knight, while others make him a brigand, a robber knight who found death in an unusual way (we let you discover the rest on the spot). Today you can retrace the history of the castle and its former owners. The visit is very interesting, and above all it offers the possibility to enter a bewitching place. Day 15 : Postojna

From the Karst to the Julian Alps through the wine valleys. Join the region bordering Italy and discover the Vipava Valley, the birthplace of Slovenian wine, and the Goriska Brda vineyard hills. This day will undoubtedly be one of your best memories in Slovenia. Take the road back to Tolmin, famous for its paragliding sites and its surrounding nature. Visit the gorge (1 hour walk) and Most na Soci, which offers a splendid panorama of the lake.

Continue to Kobarid and then Bovec. 15 min walk to admire the Boka waterfall before continuing to the Kluze fortress overlooking a 70 m ravine. Arrival in Bovec in the middle of the mountains. Overnight in a 3-star Hotel at the edge of the Triglav National Park. Quadruple room.

Rafting tour on the turquoise blue waters of the Soča. Discover the natural beauty of a pristine river in an incredibly exciting way. Choice of hikes from Bovec. We advise you the Soca trail, a hike along the Soca river. This trail offers magnificent views of the emerald river and offers a walk of up to 25 km.
