Breathe, relax your mind and move your body during this 7-day yoga and wellness holiday in the idyllic setting of Hotel Balatura, an entirely renovated 300-year old historical building, located in the quiet valley of Vinodol, a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea, surrounded by karst mountains and magnificent woods. Your daily yoga and meditation practice, healthy food and various activities will enable you to fully reset your mind and body and recharge your batteries.
In addition to the morning and evening meditation and yoga practice, during the rest of the day, you will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the Adriatic coast, its crystal-clear waters and its karts mountains and hills, which tower over the Vinodol valley.
You will be offered a selection of optional activities, including a boat trip to the biggest Croatian island Krk, some light hiking in the Risnjak National Park, and/or a visit of the medieval fortress Nehaj. Should you prefer a less active holiday, you can simply enjoy a relaxing day on the beach, or at the hotel “green” swimming pool.

With nearly 300 million people practising yoga worldwide, yoga continues to prove its worth. This yoga programme will help you to: better manage stress and live more serenely, improve breathing, concentration and sleep quality. It will also help you to improve circulation, digestive functions, flexibility and, in addition, strengthen the body and relieve any back problems you may have.
Dharma Yoga, which has its origins in Hatha-Raja Yoga, is a graceful and dynamic form of yoga. This style was created in the 1970s by Sri Dharma Mittra, one of the greatest living yogis who has been teaching for over 50 years in New York and worldwide. Dharma Yoga combines many of the traditional yoga teachings, with the aim of leading the practitioners to self-realization and a deeper knowledge of themselves.
Goranka has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has been teaching regularly in French, English and Croatian for 5 years. After having tried different styles of yoga (Ashtanga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin Yoga, Bikram, Jivamukti, etc.), all over the world and in India, she found her way in Dharma Yoga which aims above all to open the heart and to develop a very strong sense of compassion. Goranka therefore went to the source to be trained by Sri Dharma Mittra himself. She has completed the Life of a Yogi 500 advanced training and will be happy to share her knowledge with you. Moreover, sharing knowledge is her true passion as, in addition to her yoga-related activities, Goranka has been working for 25 years as a consultant and trainer in communication for international and humanitarian organisations around the world (Africa, Asia, South America, Europe).
Yoga course information: 6 days/18 hours of Dharma Yoga course in French, with two daily sessions of 1.5 hours each: one in the morning and one in the early evening, led by a certified and experienced French-Croatian yoga teacher (RYT500). For your yoga sessions, the hotel will put at your disposal its different spaces and yoga equipment: the yoga platform in the forest and the two yoga rooms equipped with mats, bricks, meditation cushions, straps, the Koshi chime and the Tibetan bowl.
