Privacy and personal data protection

The University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical faculty, respects and protects your personal information. We are committed to providing you with the best information on how to travel responsibly, and to protecting your privacy.
The GDPR Regulation, adopted by the European Union, dictates high standards that determine how your data is collected, stored, envisioned and requested to be deleted, and much more. In accordance with the legislation and our awareness of the importance of this area, we have provided explanations on the security of your data and the rights you own as the data owner. Before giving consent to collect or process your personal information, please read this explanation carefully. We undertake not to sell your personal information to a third party without prior notice and obtaining your explicit written consent.
The manager of personal data is the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Jamnikarjeva 101, 1000 Ljubljana, registration number no. 1626914, DS: SI94761795 (hereinafter: Biotechnical Faculty).

1. COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

1.1. When and what personal data are transmitted to the Biotechnical Faculty?
• when you send us an email to discoverdinarics@gmail.com (email)
• when you submit a comment under online content on www.discoverdinarics.org (name and surname)
• when contacting us via social media (name and surname)

1.2. Collection of personal data
At the Biotechnical Faculty, we obtained your information with your explicit consent. We will use them to email you when you make an inquiry through www.discoverdinarics.org

1.3 Data transmission
We will email you when you make an inquiry through discoverdinarics.org and send you contact details for the tour operators that can take your inquiry further. If you do decide to make an inquiry, we then need an email address. We pass this on to the tour operator who runs the trip you are inquiring about. We may also ask for your phone number as this could be useful to the tour operator in case they need to verify your email address or can’t reach you via email. We will never sell or lease your personal details to anyone else.

1.4. Access your personal information
Access to your personal information and management is provided by the Biotechnical Faculty, responsible for Discover Dinarics website.

1.5. Method of processing personal data
Your personal information, which we received with your explicit consent, is processed in the following ways:
•monitoring and recording the delivery of sent emails (or received by the proprietor);
•monitoring and recording whose content the email owner has opened or read (tracking clicks on web links contained in emails)
•statistical and other analyzes

1.6 Sharing of data with our partners
If you request information from one of our tour operator or accommodation owner partners, either by making an inquiry on our site or by contacting us via email, we will pass on your contact details to them so that they can reply to your request. On occasion, we will also pass this information on to other partners who offer similar trips, so you have more options. We cannot be held responsible for the privacy practices of our partners.

2. DATA STORAGE

Personal data obtained from you on the basis of your explicit consent is stored in an electronic database of personal data. Collections are adequately technically protected and access to them only has a manager with these data, the Biotechnical Faculty.
The personal data you provide to us digitally is stored on the server companies whose tools we use (HAL Interactive d.o.o.). The location of the website’s server is in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and it is properly secured.In order to ensure the unimpeded functioning of the website, it contains cookies.
